Team Leader (Production/Warehouse)
Permanent | Full-Time | 4 on 4 off Days and Nights
Are you an experienced Team Leader with a background in manufacturing, logistics or warehouse operations? Do you enjoy leading by example in a fast-paced environment where quality, safety and performance are key?
Our client is looking for a proactive and motivated Team Leader to join their operations team. This is a hands-on role, responsible for leading a team to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of operatives to achieve production and quality targets.
- Plan and organise daily workloads to ensure smooth operational performance.
- Monitor production output and machine performance, recording downtime and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Promote and enforce health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance across the team.
- Carry out quality checks in line with company procedures.
- Complete production reports and operational documentation accurately and on time.
- Produce shift plans and ensure effective communication through detailed shift handovers.
- Allocate labour efficiently to meet changing production demands.
- Support the management team by providing cover when required.
- Coordinate agency staffing where necessary in line with production requirements.
- Monitor stock levels, stock rotation (FIFO) and assist with purchase order requests.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the operation.
- Carry out pre-start equipment checks and ensure safe use of machinery and MHE.
- Ensure PPE requirements are followed and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Report accidents, near misses and safety concerns promptly, supporting investigations where required.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all operational procedures and records remain up to date.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role within a manufacturing, warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- A good understanding of health and safety practices within an operational environment.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Confidence using production reports and completing administrative tasks accurately.
